Hi, it’s me. I’m the travel planner, it’s me.
Many of you reading this probably already know me in some form or fashion. We could have know each other since middle school. Maybe we met in college. Really, there is a good chance we met working in the movie business or through hockey. Or perhaps we’ve recently crossed online paths thanks to the newest love of my life, tennis.
Whether we are related or know one another super well, just a little, or not at all, welcome to my new blog. I’ve not managed one of these in quite some time, despite the insistent suggestions from many of my most supportive friends. But now I have good reason to.

I’ve spent almost my entire career in the movie business. The first job application I ever filled out in high school turned into my first job (on the spot) at a 5-screen movie theater in my hometown. And unbeknownst to me at the time, it would all turn into an extremely unpredictable and chaotic career.
If you know anything about the entertainment business, you know it’s a fickle and unpredictable beast. Every year there are new mergers and acquisitions, studio(s) laying off (more) people, and ultimately, consolidation. After three layoffs in 10 years, I decided it was time to build something on the side, a venture that Is new and different and of which I had total autonomy and control.
I’ve always prided myself on being an obsessive compulsive planner and planning trips has always been fun to me. Just ask my friend Leslie how all the trips in our younger years turned out. Trips where we were broke college students but still had the times of our lives.
Whilst I swam in a cave off the coast of Sicily last year, a place that had always been super high on my travel bucket list (more on that at a later date), I thought about all the fun comments and compliments I’d gotten on my social media posts during this trip and it made me think, wait, what if THIS is what I do?

Travel is more accessible than people think it is. It doesn’t have to super expensive, though there isn’t anything wrong with luxury, and it doesn’t have to be hard. And that’s what I want to help people realize and make happen.
Through this blog I’ll share travel stories and recommendations from not only myself, but also my friends. Expect quite a bit of sports focused travel, as mentioned I am a huge hockey and tennis fan, the latter of which I just started to play and look forward to exploring the world’s most beautiful courts. But also expect food. Lots of food.
